This notice explains what personal information CFN Services Ltd. ("we", "us") collects, why, how long we keep it and what your rights are. We keep it short because we collect very little.

CFN Services Ltd. is the data controller for the personal information described here. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 16394310, with our registered office at 62 Plantation Road, Poole, BH17 9LP. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration number ZB903268.

What we collect and why

When you contact us

If you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, and anything else you choose to tell us, such as a phone number, your location or details of the job. We use this to reply and, if you go ahead, to provide the service.

Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.

When you become a client

We keep the contact, job and billing details needed to do the work, invoice you and meet our legal obligations, such as keeping accounting records. Our lawful bases are performance of a contract and legal obligation.

When you visit the website

Like all web servers, our hosting provider's servers keep short-term technical logs, including IP addresses, browser type and pages requested. These are used only to keep the site secure and working, which is our legitimate interest.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or social media plug-ins. Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so visiting the site does not send your information to third-party font services. That is why there is no cookie banner.

If you use the light/dark switch in the header, your browser remembers that choice on your own device (in local storage) so the site looks the same next time. It isn't sent to us or anyone else, and you can clear it by clearing your browser's site data.

The "Translate" menu links to Google Translate. Nothing from Google loads on our site. If you choose a language, the page opens on Google's translation service, which is covered by Google's privacy policy.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information or share it for marketing. We use a small number of suppliers who handle it on our behalf:

• 20i Ltd, which hosts this website and our email in UK data centres.
• Our accountant, for invoices and financial records.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that don't lead to work: up to 12 months, then deleted.
• Client and invoicing records: 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as required for tax purposes.
• Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period, typically a few weeks.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• ask us to correct anything that's wrong
• ask us to delete your information, where we don't need to keep it
• object to or ask us to restrict how we use it
• ask for your information in a portable format, where that applies

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We'll respond within one month.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
